On arrival at Leh Airport you will be met, assisted and get driven to Leh hotel. On arrival, check-in at your hotel. Located at an elevation ranging between 7545 and 16404 feet above sea level, Leh is utterly a mountainous region, with three equivalent Himalayan ranges – Karakoram, Ladakh and Zanskar.
After Kutch in Gujarat, Leh in Jammu and Kashmir is the second largest district in India. This place known for its stunning sceneries of extroverted valleys and snow-capped mountains, beckons flock of travelers every year. Some of the chief attraction of the place is Stok Monastery, Pangong Lake, Shanti Stupa and Nubra Valley.
After breakfast, check-out form the hotel and get driven to Sham Valley, downhill along the Indus stream on Leh – Kargil Highway. From here you will be sightseeing the Hall of Fame (Museum erected by the India Army) near Leh is appeal to visit for every Indian, and continue further to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib snuggled bottomless in the laps of Himalayas.
Another drive of 4 km will take you to the charming peaks, which confront the law of gravity, & further heading through an appealing panorama will take you towards the convergence of The Indus and Zanskar streams. Also visit the Spituk Monastery, built in 15th century during the reign of Grags ‘bum-lde, these new Gelug-pa monastery was built like citadel on the peak of cliffs. In the evening you will be free to stroll around the souk place for some last minute memento shopping.
After breakfast, check-out form the hotel and get driven to Leh, En-route visit Lamayuru, an oldest existing monastery of the Ladakh region. Located in the charismatic milieu of pebbly crags, Lamayuru is a tranquil halt on your way to Wanla. Earlier in 11th century, this monastery exhibits an affluent collection of wall canvas, carpets, artifacts and statues from the past era.
Apart from being known as a famous monastery, Lamayuru is also known for its two grand festivals, where a number of consecrated dances and rituals are performed to pay reverence to various Buddhist deities. Later, continue your drive back to Leh and visit Alchi Gompa, the complex of temples located within the village is the most celebrated of Ladakh’s monasteries and dates back to the 11th century.
After breakfast, check-out form the hotel and get driven to the valley of flowers mainly called as Nubra valley. On arrival at Nubra, check-in at your camp / hotel.
The road will go through the Khardungla – uppermost motor-able pass in the world at a height of 18390 feet. Click the pictures of panoramic pass and proceed further to reach Nubra valley. Here you will be sighting the rocky to snowy mountains, Rivers, Sand dunes, Deserts and many more.
After breakfast, check-out form the hotel and take a ride on a double humped Bactrian camel, which still exists in the middle of the sand dunes of a high altitude desert with snowcapped mountains in the forefront. The scenery between Diskit and Hunder presents you both the harsh parched tons with rocky fields to snowcapped ton and rolling sand dunes. Later visit to the Diskit monastery, which is lying at a peak from where you can take pleasure of the bird’s eye view of the Nubra valley.
Later in the afternoon, you will be returning to Leh and in the evening if you are still thrilled then you can go out to the local market where you can explore the Leh cultures and lifestyles of local. Dinner & Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel in Leh.
After breakfast, check- out from the hotel and get driven to Pangong Lake, En-route visit the Shey Palace, an ancient capital of Ladakh a place where Film ‘3 Idiots’ has famed its Rancho school. On further drive, you will be halting at Thiksey monastery. As you will pass through the Chang La, so this gives you a chance to sight the stunning sceneries of ‘pass of the south’.
You will be planking through various small hamlets, which will lead you to reach the extravagant Blue Pangong Lake. On arrival at Pangong, check-in at your camp.
After breakfast, check-out form the cam and explore the beauty of pond one last time and then depart for Leh, En-route visit Hemis Gompa -one of the largest solitary basis of Drukpa Kagyu sort of Tibetan Buddhism. On arrival at Leh check into the hotel, later visit the market place for some last minute memento shopping.
After breakfast, check-out form the hotel and get driven to Tsomoriri Lake, En-route visiting Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh &3 Idiots Rancho School& further 5 Kms Driving through a picturesque landscape we reach Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village.
After visiting above two monasteries we drive further towards Chumthang, which is famous for medical hot spring and people visit to this place for medical bath. From here a short drive will take you to Mahey Bridge, the main checking point to enter to this new area. On the way visit Sumdah village and another 55 kms drive will take you to Tsomoriri. The Tsomoriri Lake is located at 14,000 ft. near a small village of Korzok.
Recently opened to foreigners due to the proximity of the Chinese border, the Changthang is a land of wilderness and magnificent landscapes, Tsomoriri Lake is also the breeding ground for numerous species of birds, like the bar headed goose, crested grebe, the Brahmini duck (ruddy Sheldrake) and the brown-headed gull. The Tsomoriri Lake is 8 Kms wide and 28 Kms long. On arrival at Tsomoriri, check-in at your camp, evening is free at leisure. Dinner & Overnight stay at a camp in Tsomoriri.
After breakfast, check-out form the camp and get driven to Leh, En-route visit Korzok Monastery. On arrival at Leh, check-in at your hotel.
A 350 years old monastery, with at least 33 resident monks belonging to the yellow sect. Enclosed by the 6000 meters peak, Tsomoriri or "Mountain Lake" is situated in the middle of the preeminent valley of Rupshu. Here you can sight many faunas including the "Kyang" (Wild Ass), Red fox, Snow Leopard, Black Necked Cranes and Geese Flock. Later we continue our journey towards Leh; as we enter the fertile Indus valley the area is irrigated by the river and is dotted with pretty villages and spectacular stupas.
The awesome multi-hued mountains around us add to the beauty and richness of our environment. Crossing the Indus River the road improves as we head towards Leh. This is an easy stretch; we pass the Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery and the Chortens Gardens.
